Vacancy – Junior Store Manager

Elgin Free-Range Chickens, Robertson – Factory Store

Responsibilities:

It will include, among others, the following:
Management and control of the point of sale and the payment system, including floating cash management, petty cash and processing of sales payments by card payment and / or cash payments, initial and final collection of the day.
Performs all the functions of a cashier
Comply with security procedures, including locking all security doors, assigning and integrity of alarm codes, store opening and closing procedures, and banking procedures.
Ensuring cleanliness and proper operation of freezers including maintaining required temperature records.
Improve customer perception of the EFRC brand through: professional appearance, friendly treatment and in-depth knowledge of the product, neatness and cleanliness of the facilities and freezers, the availability of our range of products and the good condition of the products .
Adherence to Occupational Safety and Hygiene standards, SGSA.
Assist in maintaining employee discipline, including enforcing necessary rules and regulations in relation to the organization’s requirements.
Assist in supervising the activities of the factory store and the performance of all personnel.
Use labor, machines and equipment effectively and efficiently.
Help monitor employee time and attendance, including accurate completion and submission of timesheets as requested.
Responsible for ensuring that the factory facilities are clean and orderly at all times.
Make sure that all electronic communication facilities that EFRC offers are used for business purposes.
Help monitor stock levels and maintain product range availability.
Responsible for ensuring that all stock is received in accordance with EFRC’s established stock delivery procedures, including ensuring careful handling of product by staff.
Assist in stock management and implementation and practice of “first in, first out” to ensure older stock is sold first.
Help enforce the dress code and personal hygiene.
Assist with daily / monthly store operational checks and stock taking.

Requirements:

1 – 2 years of experience working in a similar work environment.
Minimum grade 12 grade.
Ability to communicate fluently in English or Afrikaans.
Computer knowledge.
Understanding the cold chain stock management and rotation system
Self-motivated, enterprising and energetic.
Well organized and enjoy the management.
Good financial and analytical skills.
Strong work ethic and commitment to integrity
Willing to work Saturdays as needed.
Customer oriented.
Honest and trustworthy individual.
